ASM Global is Hiring a Cook - Sanford Center Near Bemidji, MN
The position is hands-on and is responsible for the production of hot and cold foods under the direction of the Executive Chef.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains organized sanitary workstation at all times.
- Properly labels and dates food items for storage.
- Assists in the preparation of cut vegetables, baked goods and cold sauces.
- Minimizes waste by controlling overage and usage.
- Follows approved recipes and production standards.
- Be willing to function with other duties such as dishes, clean up
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Ability to produce high quality food in a fast paced environment.
- Positive, customer service oriented attitude at all times.
- Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.
- Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
- Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.
- One year of experience in food service as a cook is preferred.
- Working Environment/Conditions
- Kitchen environmentotherwise not substantially exposed to adverse work conditions.
- Irregular hours including some nights and weekends based on facility event schedule.

- Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.

- Ability to distinguish color.
- See and distinguish objects or symbols as 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. Depth perception, peripheral vision and bringing objects into focus.
- Climbing ladders and staircases multiple times per day as needed to pick stock.
- Constant standing, walking, stooping. Constant reaching, handling products.
