Industrial Communications & Electronics, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager PMP Near Miami, FL

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Job is located in Miami Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Set project timeline.
  • Monitor project deliverables.
  • Assist in the field with technicians on the tools.
  • Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them.
  • Lead the project team and has overall accountability for completing assigned construction projects successfully.
  • Maintain customer relationships to ensure client satisfaction and quality control.
  • Manage project related correspondence and documents.
  • Manage activities associated with materials, budget, and production for projects.
  • Attend team meetings.
  • Schedule and plan resources to meet project schedules.
  • Be the liaison with the client and field installation team.
  • Identify scope changes, address issues, and communicate project milestones.
  • Manage project financials and budget to meet or beat estimated Gross Profit targets.
  • Facilitate the change order process on client projects.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple projects and ensure budget targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Must receive and provide clear, constructive feedback regarding work performance and be able to provide clarification as necessary.
  • Uphold Industrial Communications values to include safety, quality, teamwork, and growth.
  • Monitors work and adheres to deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit monthly pay applications for projects.
  • Assist in Estimating and Submitting proposals for changes to work.
  • Document Control including Submittals, RFI’s, current drawings, and as built drawings.
  • Positive interface with our clients
  • Proactive and prompt approach to issue resolution
  • Manage materials (track releases, material on site, approve supplier invoices).
  • Create and communicate the project plan: Schedules, Material delivery schedules, etc.
  • Ability to interpret field conditions and communicate project requirements to the team.
  • Scheduling work and crews.
  • Set up new projects, coordinate contractors, permit requirements, and schedule with site contacts.
  • Maintain general contractor contact to obtain project specific information.
  • Project closeouts, including documentation and permit closure.
  • Review invoices from contractors to confirm production and accurate accounting.
  • Work with the billing team to make sure aged accounts are settled.
  • Daily and weekly production reporting.
  • Support management team.
  • Assist the Construction Project Manager in the development of projects (as required).
  • Maintain project specific documentation and requirements as stated within project contract documents.
  • Ability to develop and communicate ideas regarding project cost trends.
  • Basic understanding of Retail/Construction Industry standards and practices.
  • All duties as assigned.

Experience with Software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • IBwave (Preferred)
  • Bluebeam (Preferred)

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or possession of a current License as a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
  • Certification in Agile Project Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of Florida Building Codes and permitting processes.
  • Experience managing large projects with a large user base.
  • Experience managing vendor projects.
  • Experience managing and reporting projects in compliance with Rule 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code preferred.
  • Experience working with technical programming teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate a take-charge, can-do attitude with the initiative to solve complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skills in negotiation and mediation.
  • Skills in facilitation and team building.
  • Knowledge in other IT areas such as programming, data analytics, etc.
  • Team player with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic, ability to meet or exceed deadlines, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and ability to organize and prioritize activities.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.

Essential Job functions

  • Manages engineering consultants, technicians, installers and contractors during the design and installation of Low Voltage projects such as Bi-Directional Amplifiers, Cellular enhancement systems, Cameras, Access Control and 2-way Radio systems; performs site inspections; ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, and with high levels of quality assurance.
  • Ability to read construction level engineering design plans and calculations. Proficiency in AutoCAD or IBwave preferred.
  • Prepares, negotiates, executes, and manages task orders for, contractors, PEs and service providers.
  • Provides analysis, evaluation, and recommendation of Bid requests. Prepare projects for bid, including reviewing of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Reviews and approves contractor and consultant pay requests.
  • Develops and monitors project scope, budget, and schedule. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and scheduling software preferred.
  • Prepares reports for upper management and stakeholder information.
  • Works with homeowners' association, General Contractors, Developers, Property Managers, End Users and owners for projects
  • Provides technical information and guidance on projects; resolves project related issues.
  • Prepares required reports for various construction projects; prepares reports, memorandums, and related correspondence pertaining to contract and code compliance.
  • Review permit submittal documents and specifications for accuracy.
  • Coordinates with other City departments, external agencies and applicants on projects
  • Drafts variance requests for Approval
  • Performs related work as required.
