About the Role:

Job Title: Assembly Technician/ Maintenance Technician/ New Product Innovation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with design engineers to understand product specifications and requirements.
  • Provide feedback on the design for manufacturability (DFM) and suggest improvements to enhance the assembly process.
  • Develop and optimize assembly processes for new drone products.
  • Implement efficient manufacturing workflows, considering cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and processes.
  • Oversee the creation of prototypes for new drone models.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of assembly processes to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Establish quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
  • Implement and monitor rigorous quality assurance protocols throughout the process.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of components for drone products.
  • Identify and address any supply chain issues that may impact production schedules.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.

Requirements:

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in NPI engineering, preferably in the drone or aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 Annually - Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
