Sr. Manager Supply Chain Operations Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW As a key member of the Global Supply Chain leadership team, the Sr. Manager Supply Chain will partner across the organization to build a reliable supply chain that supports our vision of being a leader in Nylon 6,6. This leader will be key to driving robust operating rhythms and developing a team that effectively supports our growing businesses. This role will be located in our Pensacola office and will report directly to the Global Director Supply Chain. This position will bring best in class supply chain processes and tools while driving automation and supporting business strategies. TARGETED OUTCOMES Build World Class Supply Chain - Supports our commitment to our customers ensuring reliability, responsiveness and flexibility to our customers balancing cost and service level. Drive to Entitlement – Implements systems, metrics, and strategies that optimize service levels, increase profitability, and supports dynamic changes in market conditions. Visible leader in process improvement implementing best in class supply chain practices. Organizational Capability - Improve the problem solving and project execution capability of leaders and teams by developing and implementing a process that equips them and ensures that they employ the appropriate tools, methodologies and project team configuration. Change Management – Develop and implement processes that move the learnings from acquisition of the knowledge to adoption and understanding of their meaning in a sustainable way. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Functional leadership Build a high-performing team based on delegation of responsibility and empowering them with the necessary resources, being accessible to team member needs, and implementing development plans. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Compliance for larger strategies across the business. Implement supply chain strategies that improve reliability to our customers and cost to Ascend. Provide transparency of supply chain capability through integrated scorecard metrics. Implement process and tools to improve key metrics. Provide leadership to prioritize all supply chain projects. TEAM Reports to: Global Director Supply Chain Direct Reports: Supply Chain Execution (Customer Service, Logistics, Mode Management) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or business 10 years of experience in operations or supply chain Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing Project and Change Management Experience implementing SC Automation tools highly desired SAP experience highly desired Commercial experience is a plus REQUIRED SKILLS Leadership and coaching across all levels of the organization including customers and stakeholders Superior influencing capability and ability to engage and inspire others Action Oriented with ability to drive change outside of direct team to reduce costs and drive automation Proactive leadership and team building skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and lead the execution of strategic plans Intellectually curious with the ability to think creatively to solve problems and implement change Skills Summary: About Us: Ascend Performance Materials is the premium provider of high quality chemicals, fibers and plastics.
