Job Description:
Our firm is actively seeking an Estate Planning Attorney who is not only well-versed in the legal aspects of estate planning but also possesses a deep understanding of finance, investments, and taxes. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in guiding our clients through their estate planning journey, ensuring they have peace of mind for the future. Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their objectives.
- Recommend and advise on suitable estate planning strategies, including various types of trusts.
- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and ancillary documents.
- Clearly explain complex legal concepts and details of the estate plan to clients.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly consult with clients, accountants, financial advisors, and other parties to effectively progress cases.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and future clients through consistent communication.
- Participate in weekly case review meetings to report on caseload status.
- Develop a client following to contribute to the firm’s revenue growth.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed with the California State Bar.
- Preferred 3 years of estate planning experience with comprehensive case handling.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Working knowledge of finance, investments, and taxes.
- High proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and legal software.
- Experience with Wealth Counsel drafting is desirable.
- Additional qualifications in tax or CPA are advantageous.
- A transferable book of business is highly valued.
