The Aroostook Agency on Aging has an immediate opening for a Coordinator in our Adult Day Respite Services program. Do you have a desire to work with consumers and caregivers to create an inviting, family friendly, relaxing and fun atmosphere? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! This is a full-time 40 hour per week position who is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the provision of respite care services for adults, ensuring a safe and supportive environment in our Adult Day Center in Presque Isle. This role involves assisting in developing and implementing programs while maintaining high quality standards in the delivery of respite services. We are looking for a compassionate and self-motivated individual that has experience and knowledge working with those with dementia, cognitive issues, Alzheimer's, as well as their care givers. Successful applicant must have the following education and experience: Associates Degree in related field or a minimum of 3 years experience working directly with people with dementia and family or informal caregivers, knowledge regarding older adults, dementia care and support, ability to function independently, demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry, work as part of a team, have great time management and organization skills, be able to effectively communicate verbally, in person and in writing and be able to read and comprehend regulations and policies that apply to our Adult Day Respite Center.
