Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys and assist in various legal tasks. Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Prepare and manage case calendars and deadlines
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve files
- Assist with project management tasks as assigned
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or similar role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and terminology
- Knowledge of probate law, family law and civil procedures is a benefit
- Attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in legal documents
- Proficiency in using document management systems
- Experience with project management is a plus
