Preschool Teacher/Assistant Director
Frassati Catholic Academy is hiring a full-time preschool lead teacher for our 3-year olds. Ideally, we would also like this teacher to be able to be the assistant director of our preschool program under the guidance of our preschool director. This person would teach in our three-year-old preschool classroom for the full day, and would support and assist the other preschool teachers as needed, either during planning periods in the day or after school. This position is paid extra for these additional assistant director duties.
Preschool Assistant Director Duties

• Overseeing teachers and classroom activities
• Training staff and teachers
• Overseeing the faith formation of students and teachers (Therefore, candidates shouldbe practicing Catholics in full communion with the Catholic Church.)
• Organizing professional development activities
• Creating curricula and standards that support our mission and educational excellence
• Working with staff to communicate with parents and students
• Discussing student progress with parents and teachers
• Coordinating medication administration with the nurse
• Assisting with the day-to-day flow of preschool activities

Lead Preschool Teacher Duties
*Teach all subjects to students in our three-year-old program with the help of an assistant teacher
*Plan all lessons
*Manage classroom flow and behaviors
*Support and guide the faith formation of our young learners (Must be a practicing Catholic)
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have all certifications needed to be a lead teacher in a preschool program. To be the assistant director, you must also hold director qualifications for large centers. Candidates must be practicing Catholics in full communion and agreement with the Catholic Church. Applicants must love working with young learners, and must be passionate about the Catholic faith. Candidates chosen for the position will need to pass all background checks and must attend a Safe Environment Training Class.
