We are looking for a talented Customer Service & Shop Associate to join our team. Description of the broad function & scope of position:

• The most important aspect of this job is good and positive communication with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
• Perform over-the-counter sales to customers coming into our facility as well as over the phone (from order taking, researching & pricing to invoicing customers).
• Research and identify suitable replacement equipment based on customer needs (both over the counter and for the shop team).
• Perform basic testing on electromechanical equipment to determine if they need to enter the shop for repair or direct replacement and document accordingly.
• Perform shipping (mostly small packages) and receiving.
• Create job tickets, take incoming photos, and correctly label parts / equipment going into the shop.
• Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers as well as pickups from vendors as needed.
• Check stock inventory levels and work with purchasing to reorder parts.
• Be willing and able to get forklift certified to be able to correctly and efficiently load/offload AR&E vehicles, customer vehicles, and vendor vehicles.
• Assist management with organization of parts / equipment ready for pickup.
• Take customer deposits on jobs coming in for repair.
• Assist the operations manager with any new projects for the counter and repair shop areas.

• Excellent Communication skills, which includes verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective relationships to achieve successful results with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
• Effective problem-solving skills using analytical techniques to ensure successful corrective actions.
• The ability to perform and retain various job-related training, operations, and safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail to ensure all work and sales orders are correct.
• The ability or willingness to learn to use a forklift and overhead crane for safely offloading vendor and customers.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8a to 5p with a 1-hour lunch
