The Senior Quality Technician ensures that products or services meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct inspections and tests of materials, components, and finished products to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, root causes, and improvement areas.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality audits and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Ensure that products and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and follow up to ensure effectiveness.
- Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and vendors.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback on product quality and work to resolve issues satisfactorily.
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, is a role model for the QA team, and exceeds API Heat Transfer's essential performance standards by adhering to its employee guidelines.
- Coordinates the work of the QA department to meet customer requirements.
- Inform the QA Manager of employee performance opportunities or other attention-related topics.
- Attend the daily shift meeting and all weekly meetings that require QA representation, such as, but not limited to, daily huddles, inventory, and material holds.
- Helps develop and ensure a pleasant and productive work environment.
- Ensures department tasks are done accurately, safely, and timely.
- Assists in onboarding new, temporary, or seasonal employees.
- Monitors lab supply levels and reports to the QA Manager.
- What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent quality department work experience
- 5 years of experience in QA
- Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies and processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
