Community Health Alliance-Ohio is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Hamilton, OH
- Prepares the patients for visits by entering the appropriate health information into our electronic health record system according to the organization’s written protocols.
- Ensures patient flow and assists the doctor with medical procedures as needed.
- Performs administrative and clinical tasks to support the work of physicians and nurse practitioners in the practice.
- Checks patient vital signs, drawing blood, injections, and collects medical histories.
- Performs urinalysis.
- Orders medication from specialty pharmacies accurately and in a timely manner and resolves any medication or pharmacy issues that arise.
- Maintains temperature logs for clinic medication/vaccine refrigerators
- Completing prior authorizations in a timely manner
- Complete genesight testing orders for MH provider in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; that represent clinical services, clinical evaluations, and medically necessary treatment recommendations.
- Must be a graduate of a medical assisting program.
- Two years of directly related experience.
- Current BLS/CPR or willing to obtain within 30 days.
- Exceptional customer service skills and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrate skills and abilities in clinical and administrative areas including phlebotomy, office lab testing, patient care, injection, vitals, medication ordering.
- Operate a personal computer and other office equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
