Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team that supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Tests. This team is on the forefront of MDA's move to digital engineering with an aggressive schedule for AI/ML development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, experience with Python and its scientific computing packages, and a proven track record of building and executing machine learning experiments. • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to solve complex problems and enhance product offerings.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems to improve performance and capabilities.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of our DevOps pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

• 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence.

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Essential Job Skills:
• Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#/Java, as well as Python 3.x.
• Python Scientific Computing: Experience with Python packages such as Numpy, Matplotlib, Tensorflow, and Pytorch.
• Machine Learning Expertise: Solid understanding of foundational statistics concepts and ML algorithms as well as demonstrated experience in building and executing machine learning experiments, including but not limited to data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• DevOps Frameworks: Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools to ensure efficient deployment and operation of our solutions.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization. Preferred Skills: * .NET Development: Experience developing in the .NET Framework or .NET Core environment.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• AI/ML Integration: Experience in implementing and integrating artificial intelligence or machine learning solutions into existing information systems.
• Database Management: Knowledge of relational databases, including schema design and SQL.
• Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, and their role in development and deployment processes.
