Responsibilities
•Assist Physician's Assistant using Spravato to treat TRD and SI by taking vitals throughout visit
•Schedule appointments with PA as needed
•Assist in getting pre-authorizations for medications or submitting required pharmacy forms
•Put together insurance forms, noting patient symptoms, diagnoses, test results, treatment instructions, and prescriptions in the patient records
•Draw blood and prepare blood samples for laboratory tests
•Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
•Speak with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with the healthcare staff
•Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the rooms are well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipment is sterilized
Qualifications
•1 year of prior experience in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment
•Completed an accredited medical assisting program and an externship in a supervised healthcare setting
•Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks
•Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
•High school diploma or GED
