Sinclair Broadcast Group is Hiring a Business Development Executive Near Cockeysville, MD


Compulse is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive with a proven track record of success in selling programmatic advertising, Connected TV (CTV), and other omni-channel advertising solutions, to mid-market, tier 2, independent advertising agencies, and local media companies. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Identify key prospects and cultivate strong relationships with mid-market, tier 2, independent advertising agencies and local media companies.
  2. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market segment. Generate leads, conduct cold outreach, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our programmatic advertising and CTV advertising solutions.
  3. Consultative Selling: Take a consultative approach to selling, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each client. Provide tailored solutions that address client objectives and drive results.
  4. Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase the benefits of our advertising solutions. Clearly articulate product features, benefits, and ROI to prospective clients.
  5. Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals with prospective clients. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  6. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  7. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Use market intelligence to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, product development, customer solutions, onboarding, and ad-operations, to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns and deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record of success in selling programmatic advertising and CTV advertising solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including programmatic buying platforms, ad networks, DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs.
  • Experience selling to mid-market, tier 2, and independent advertising agencies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Hubspot and Microsoft Office suite.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
