WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work in fast paced environment pulling samples from plant floor
- Set up and perform multiple quality tests.
- Layout inspection, first and last piece article
- Accurately compile statistical data
- Manage and maintain the Quality laboratory.
- Prepare reports on testing results
- Ability to read blueprints, interpretation and GD& T
- Experience in Measurement Systems: calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, Wenzel CMM (Open DMIS) using CAD generated models
- Gage calibration: calipers, micrometers, jo-blocks, height stands, gage masters, thread gages, attributes gages
- Experience with SPC, APQP, PFD, PFEMA, PCP and PPAP
- Define problems and report all issues with material to management for analysis and disposition
- Assist in the preparation of annual and periodic Management Systems Reviews, training presentations and workshops.
- Create Certifications of Analysis/Conformance, as required.
- Send samples out for testing.
- Log in test results for internal and external customers.
- Review paperwork from the plant floor.
- Support the internal/supplier auditing function to ISO Quality System requirements. Audit/review/approve product prior to the acceptance into finished goods inventory.
- Other research or related activities as deemed necessary
- Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE
- Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
- Ability to resolve technical issues and critical problems; 8D problem solving
- Experience with Document Control and MRB systems is desired
- Demonstrated proficiency utilizing metrology/ inspection tools; experience with calibration systems required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and statistical information
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Excellent work record history.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint as well as current technology software familiarity.
