AmeriCorps members are crucial personnel needed to fulfill the goals of Mission: Ignite’s programs, blending volunteer efforts with identified staff goals to serve as part of the Mission: Ignite team. As ambassadors for the mission and as part of the Mission: Ignite team, AmeriCorps members will participate in professional development and training opportunities, learning various applicable skill sets that may be useful in future careers. The members will also participate in volunteer opportunities as part of AmeriCorps cohorts and develop a network of mission-minded people in the local region.

Member Duties : The Recruiter III will recruit AmeriCorps members, primarily Digital Skills Trainers and Navigators, for Mission: Ignite’s programs. The Recruiter will coordinate member experiences and engagement, including service days, conference trips, and team building. Recruitment (50% of position): Source prospective AmeriCorps candidates Travel to and table at local, regional, and national events to recruit AmeriCorps members Contact potential applicants via digital applications Review resumes and screen candidates for AmeriCorps alignment Maintain contact with applicants throughout the process Member Experience (50% of position): Plan orientations, service days, conference trips, and team-building events Plan training sessions on topics of value to team members Survey team members for organizational feedback Provide recommendations and implement some of them to ensure a fun, exciting, and healthy organizational culture that attracts AmeriCorps members
