Job Description:
- The Client seeks a Business Systems Analyst to work on an inhouse software development project for the Division of Securities andRetail Franchising.
- This position will be responsible for eliciting functional requirements for the division's new SERFIS software system that will replace the existing system with a comprehensive work management system.
Responsibilities Include:
- Elicit functional and technical requirements based off business requirements and interviews/meetings with business system users
- Write requirements into clear and concise user stories that are easy to understand and implement by technical staff
- Get business signoffs on approved requirements
- Manage and track requirements in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Manage and track product backlog and change requests
- Create conceptual prototypes and mockups
- Assist the developers in unit testing and work with QA to review test cases
- Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing with business users
Required:
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft, Visio, SharePoint and Office applications
- Experience in eliciting functional and technical requirements based off business requirements and interviews/meetings with business system users
- Experience in developing clear and concise user stories that are easy to understand and implement by technical staff
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
