Chester County Eye Care has been a leader in eye care throughout Chester County and the surrounding area for over 50 years. We provide advanced care for cataracts, glaucoma, retina disorders, LASIK, diabetic eye disease, and more. We are looking for a friendly qualified candidate to join our Patient Access team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors upon their arrival in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner
• Answer all incoming phone calls with a professional and pleasant demeanor
• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
• Register new patients and update patient information in our EHR system
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and retrieve referrals and vision authorizations
• Review charges for accuracy, reconcile charges and payments, and collect monies due
• Work with clinical department to help solve scheduling conflicts
• Take clear and accurate messages and distribute to appropriate personnel throughout the day
• Be knowledgeable about our doctors, services, locations, etc. to be able to answer patient questions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year working in a medical setting desired, not required
• Exceptional phone and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology helpful. Familiar with CPT codes and ICD-10 codes
• Available to work at any of our Chester County offices as needed.
• Available to work one Saturday a month.
• Must be within 20 miles driving distance from our West Chester office
