Larry H. Miller Senior Health is Hiring a Cyber Security Analyst Near Sandy, UT

The Larry H. Miller Senior Health (LHMSH) is located in Sandy, Utah, which is a portfolio of well-known and high-performing companies from Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health, Hospice and Assisted Living.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the Group
  • Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful
  • Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies

The Job

As a member of the cyber security team at LHMSH you’ll not only work on securing the company assets, but you’ll also collaborate with security professionals at the Larry H. Miller Company and in a diverse range of portfolio companies. On any given day you’ll spend time on:

  • Implementing controls to protect critical assets
  • Managing ongoing operation of security related processes such as vulnerability scanning/management, event correlation, incident response, etc.
  • Creating reports and/or dashboards communicating cyber security readiness
  • Performing research and creating documentation demonstrating:
  • Best practices for implementing a cyber security standard
  • Processes and procedures around standard cyber security activities
  • Configuration documents for specific technologies
  • Additional documentation as requested
  • Interface with operations and helpdesk to coordinate cyber security related endeavors

Experience:

We’re looking for a mid-level cyber security professional — you don’t need to be a seasoned expert, but this shouldn’t be your first cyber security related position. An ideal candidate will have at least two years experience, although what is more important is what you have experience with.

Specifically:

  • You have become an expert in at least one government or regulatory cyber security standard (HIPAA, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS etc.)
  • You should be familiar with privacy frameworks (CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
  • You have implemented controls in both cloud-based and on-prem environments
  • You have created documentation around controls that allowed other people to implement those controls
  • You have coordinated incident response
  • You have managed a vulnerability management program
  • The following may be beneficial, but aren’t required:
  • Cyber security audit
  • Penetration testing
  • Red team/Blue Team exercises
  • Scripting/automation experience

Education/Job Qualifications:

You should either have a degree in cyber security, or some mid-to-advanced certifications. Security isn’t sufficient for this role. Some applicable certifications would be:

  • SSCP or CISSP
  • CEH
  • CCSP
  • CySA or Pentest
  • CISA

  • Dependability--the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Safety and Security--the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly

Operate with integrity:

  • Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others
  • Set an example of positive attitude and professionalism, including a neat, orderly, and safe work environment
  • Follow Group policy and procedures when conducting business with outside vendors and Government officials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, walk and move about facilities.
  • To perform other duties as required.
