Strategic Sourcing Lead : Denver Metropolitan Area

Our growing Client needs a strong Strategic Sourcing Lead to sit just East of Littleton, Colorado and drive sourcing in the direct and indirect categories alike.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, results oriented, effective project manager, able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Mission:

• Will drive sourcing/supply chain strategy for $50MM-$100MM in spend across direct and indirect categories (e.g., raw ingredients, packaging, CapEx, utilities, freight).
• This role is hands-on, will also manage Specialists.
• Global Scope to supports brands and operating facilities operating throughout North America.
• Build a strategic sourcing team that works closely with inventory management and tactical sourcing teams.

Responsibilities and Experience:

• Sourcing with particular preferred focus and experience in some of the following Categories:

wheat, edible oils, packaging substrates, Capex and similar commodities.

• Develop and Optimize approved Supplier list.
• Travel to Supplier locations
• Optimize Cost Innovation and Risk Management strategies
• Owns Supplier performance for assigned suppliers

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preference in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Economics); Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or another relevant discipline a plus.
• 5 years in Strategic Sourcing
• Sourcing and Procurement within Food & Beverage strongly preferred; Consulting experience a plus.
