Video Production Associate

Reporting to the Video Production Manager and Creative Director, the Video Production Associate will join a team that is responsible for producing video assets for use by American Cruise Lines, including, but not limited to, national broadcast commercials, promotional, corporate training, recruiting, onboard safety, and social media content. This is a hands-on role that requires a video production professional with demonstrated experience who is highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to join our growing creative department.

This position requires creativity and efficiency as you expand video production capabilities while adhering to overall brand guidelines. Travel for production will also be required.

Responsibilities

• Transport, set up, and operate production equipment including cameras, drones, audio, and lighting equipment on location aboard our fleet of ships, often working independently or with a small team.
• Regularly update, organize, and maintain video asset library, including trimming/color correction and metadata input.
• Undertake minor editing of footage in the case of smaller projects.
• Maintain and update equipment inventory, ensuring all filming equipment is ready and in proper working order.
• Delivery of finalized assets to appropriate end-user

Skills

• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with advanced principles and techniques of videography, including shot composition and framing, lighting set-ups, and audio capture.
• Ability/willingness to work on location aboard one or more ships with limited supervision during shoots. This role will require travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight travel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder)
• Interaction with senior staff and marketing team to deliver successful materials in a timely, cost-effective manner.
• Problem solving skills and initiative to learn new skills on the fly.

Additional Proficiencies and Skills (A plus but not required)

· Drone piloting and aerial videography/photography (Part 107 strongly preferred).

· Knowledge/experience with Canon DSLR and Cinema Lines.

· Basic photography, photo editing, and graphic design skills.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in the above skills.
