Summary:

The position is based in Tampa, Florida, and reports to the Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to support and strengthen the Firm’s dynamic Marketing, Communication, and Data Management team. They must have a strong work ethic, possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, a high level of integrity and put the needs of our clients first. Candidate should thrive in a smaller, employee-owned company environment. 

Responsibilities:

Marketing and Communications

-Develop deep knowledge of Kopernik’s products to implement and communicate our messaging and marketing strategy.

-Responsible for accurate and timely execution of all Strategy and Fund specific marketing materials.

-Assist in the creation of Firm, strategy, and client servicing related internal and external presentations, commentaries, and reporting.

-Responsible for timely DDQ/RFP/RFI submissions and RFP deadlines and requirements are met.

-Maintenance of the database of commonly asked questions and answers.

-Maintain third-party marketing and consultant databases (eVestment, Morningstar).

-Understand and apply regulatory compliance knowledge to ensure legal compliance of presentation materials, including obtaining the appropriate clearance to distribute marketing materials to specific clients and consultants.

-Assist with creative branding, including the design and maintenance of the Firm’s website and LinkedIn page.

-Responsible for maintaining employee biographies and other employee related marketing information.

-Coordinating requests for marketing materials to accommodate the requirements of the client/prospect and the needs of the Distribution and Client Servicing team. Prioritize ongoing workload to ensure deadlines are met and coordinate overall work with other members of the team.

-Work with manager in producing documents for presentations, marketing events and sales meetings (Quarterly Calls, CIO Meetings, White Papers, Offsites).

-Responsible for regular and ad-hoc projects and assignments, with ability to escalate tasks or timing issues to manager, as necessary.

-Assist manager with CRM (SalesForce) Administration and Reporting.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree (Finance/Marketing).

-Ability to work independently and prioritize work accordingly, while escalating matters to manager when appropriate.

-Possess exceptional organizational skills. Strong attention to detail, highly organized, intuitive, energetic, and self-motivated with intellectual curiosity.

-Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

-Team player with strong interpersonal communication and ability to work with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders and strong personalities.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

-Experience working with and visualizing data for reporting purposes (Charts, Graphs, Presentations) from databases such as Bloomberg, eVestment, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, MARS).

-Expected to continuously learn and keep up to date on elementary investment terms and concepts.

-General knowledge of financial markets and investment concepts and products and ability to apply it to work assignments.

Additional Requirements:

-This is not a remote position and will require relocation if not already local to the Tampa, FL area.

-Being authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is a precondition of employment.
