* Schedule: Rotating Shift
* Saturday - Sunday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
* Monday - Tuesday; 3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
* Wednesday; 11:30 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
* Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent's East - Trussville
* Location: Birmingham, AL
2 years of armed experience, law enforcement, security, or military is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
* Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
* Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
* Maintain knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
* Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
* Security Guard specializing in Concealed Weapon obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* Drivers License credentialed from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.
* Security Professional preferred.
Education:
* High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
* Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
