School-Based Physical Therapist
Job description
Allied Instructional Services is a Virginia-based company, led by therapists and educators. We offer a unique partnership with school divisions to provide effective and evidence-based physical therapy services to the students we serve.
AIS is seeking a knowledgeable and driven part-time Physical Therapist in the Caroline County and Powhatan, VA area to join our contracting team in the 2023-24 school year. We offer competitive compensation (including travel and remote office-time reimbursement), flexible schedules, mentoring, and referral bonuses and support our therapists in their autonomous practice as independent contractors.
The Physical Therapist in a school setting functions as a member of a student’s educational team to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of impaired gross motor skills that limit a child’s ability to access their school and participate with their peers. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of assessment and treatment practices, evidence-based research, adaptations for access to the school environment, and be willing to learn the expected roles and responsibilities of a Physical Therapist practicing within the school environment.
