Job description

Allied Instructional Services is a Virginia-based company, led by therapists and educators. We offer a unique partnership with school divisions to provide effective and evidence-based physical therapy services to the students we serve.

AIS is seeking a knowledgeable and driven part-time Physical Therapist in the Caroline County and Powhatan, VA area to join our contracting team in the 2023-24 school year. We offer competitive compensation (including travel and remote office-time reimbursement), flexible schedules, mentoring, and referral bonuses and support our therapists in their autonomous practice as independent contractors.

The Physical Therapist in a school setting functions as a member of a student’s educational team to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of impaired gross motor skills that limit a child’s ability to access their school and participate with their peers. • Comply with special education services within federal state/county procedural guidelines.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IEP's for those students identified as having a disability as a related service and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide ethical and evidence-based treatment that is guided by data collection, response to treatment, and on-going analysis of gross motor skills.
  • Communicate and consult with students, parents, educators, administrators, and outside agency professionals.

Experience:

  • Physical Therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Pediatric: 1 year (Preferred)

Education: Masters, DPT or TDPT (Required)
