Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse • Day Shift
Job Description:
We're seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to deliver high•quality care to our obstetrical patients, from antepartum to postpartum, in accordance with our unit's standards.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and document fetal tracing.• Provide comprehensive care during labor stages.• Attend to newborns at birth.• Oversee preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.• Handle patient admission and discharge.• Educate patients/families on labor and delivery.
Qualifications:
• Accredited nursing degree.• Breastfeeding and Lactation training within 6 months of hire.• BSN or MSN preferred.• ACLS, RNC•OB, RNC•EFM, and STABLE Program certifications.• Two years of L&D experience.• Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Basic Fetal Monitoring certifications within 4 months of hire.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to manage stress and emotional situations.• Frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and reaching.• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally assist in patient transfer up to 50 lbs.• Proficiency in standard office equipment use.
