What you can expect:

The Friends For All Facilities Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager and maintaining the physical condition, daily appearance and security of properties owned and/or operated by Friends For All.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintenance & Repair
    1. Assist with daily building and grounds inspections with particular attention to safety and efficient asset operation
    2. Complete work for assigned service tickets in a timely manner.
    3. Ensure all assigned requests are accurately logged and closed out in the maintenance ticketing system
    4. Assist with department and employee moves, adds and changes
    5. Perform minor plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry as needed.
    6. Assist in the maintenance of all company owned vehicles.
    7. Assist in maintaining building systems, overall cleanliness and safe environment.
    8. Assist in preventative maintenance for all agency properties according to established PM schedules. (Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual)
  • General Business
    1. Follow agency purchasing procedures
    2. Assist with all maintenance, security, cleaning and other required purchases and purchase orders
    3. Assist with all maintenance, security, cleaning and other required purchases within budgets
    4. Consistent, appropriate interactions with clients related to security and maintenance
    5. Must comply with all OSHA and agency safety policies at all times.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is necessary.
  • Maintain confidential information and adhere to all policies and procedures regarding Protected Health Information(PHI)
  • Ability to problem solve quickly while following safety and company protocols
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret maintenance, mechanical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Fluency in English. (Bi-lingual a plus)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must have experience working with outsourced vendors
  • Must have general knowledge in repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting
  • Must have experience and be skilled in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile/truck to be used daily to perform job duties.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions.

OSHA CATEGORY:

This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Training will be provided per Standard Operating Procedure for your area of operation. All FFL employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
