No coffee or Barista experience is necessary as we have an exceptional Training Program for that. Are you hardworking and enthusiastic? Do you genuinely love people, team-work and serving others? If so, we’d love to meet you!
Additional responsibilities include: maintaining a clean work station, organizing, preparing and serving hand-crafted beverages and working cohesively with our team to ensure the smooth operation of our fast-paced cafés. Our training program produces educated and passionate baristas who enjoy learning and growing in an award-winning coffee company.
We have three locations on Maui (Kihei, Kahului, Wailea) all of which we are onboarding new team members.
Starting pay for our full time baristas begins at $14.00 an hour pooled tips. Tips range anywhere between an additional $8-$12 dollars an hour.
There is also opportunity for growth within Akamai Coffee!
Responsibilities for the Barista Position:
- Take orders from customers prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks;
- Uphold excellence of service and efficiency towards customers, answer questions about products,
- Maintain a neat & clean appearance of person and of work area,
- Wash dishes and clean equipment,
- Delight in our customers by serving them and providing the Akamai-experience.
Additionally, we have Part-Time positions avaliable (food running and/or bar backing), with shifts from 6a-1p and 7a-2p, and our Kitchen team is accepting applications for Part-Time weekend morning/day line/prep cook (hours are approximately 5:30a-2p/8a-3p).
