We are seeking a Collections Associate to work within our Shared Business Services team at our Global Headquarters in Allentown, PA!
Principal accountabilities:
  • Manage small portfolio of customer accounts
  • Provide general administrative support to the collections and billing team, executing department tasks to achieve team goals
  • Adhere to documented regional, business and/or customer specific process Job Aids
  • Research on-account funds in customer accounts for efficient processing of customer refunds
  • Outbound calls and emails to customer accounts payable departments to initiate and process refunds for on-account funds
  • Research customer short-payments and work with commercial team and customer for identification of customer disputed items
  • Monitor customer advances to ensure that they are offset against invoices in a timely manner
  • Periodic reporting to explain open credits and customer advances to Supervisor, NA Billing and Collections
  • Entry of dispute details into SAP Dispute Management tool
  • Record customer contacts in SAP customer management system (Process Receivables)
  • Management and recording of Customer check payments received at HQ - customer follow-up
  • Management of customer portals and customer information requests: Establish relationships, fill-out questionnaires, remittance requests, user set-up, customer set-up thru Survey Response and on-going maintenance
  • Review and evaluate customer portal requests for invoicing, work with commercial group to establish Terms & Conditions and required contractual changes, coordinate portal training/invoicing transfer to billing analyst.
  • Participate in quality audits as needed
  • Support Escheat/Unclaimed Property process in collaboration with process analyst on the SBS Governance team
  • Work in SAP to maintain customer data
  • Participate in required trainings
  • Manage 'Right Now' Queue
Qualifications/requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 2-3 years relevant business experience
  • French written and spoken communication skills are a plus
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills and be capable of interacting with a diverse team of people with various backgrounds and interests
  • Demonstrated strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products; SAP experience is a plus, computer literacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle competing priorities
  • Superior time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and detail oriented
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
  • Ability to learn new tasks and work independently
  • Confident, personable, professional, and diplomatic
  • Responsive and positive
