AHHC is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Saint Paul, MN

Duties:

  • Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT) to diagnoses, procedures, and services.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for billing purposes.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure proper documentation and billing practices.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Other duties – as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in medical billing or coding.
  • Willing to be trained and coachable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to track.
