Pittsburgh Primary Eyecare is Hiring an Optician Near Pittsburgh, PA

Come join a team where our Core Values and Company Culture focus around candid teamwork, dedication, growth, functional care, and accountability. We are seeking a positive, motivated and detail oriented team member for a full-time optician position. You will help patients feel and look their best by helping them select from a fun group of frames. In addition, you will assist them in having their best vision possible by choosing the correct lenses and treatments for their needs and lifestyle. Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Dispensing, fitting and adjusting eyewear.
  • Regularly communicate with technicians, patient care coordinators and managers.
  • Understanding insurance as it relates to vision and eyewear.
  • Educating patients about eyewear care, insurance benefits and lens treatments.
  • Use of a lensometer to verify prescriptions.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand throughout shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
