Albemarle is seeking rising sophomores and juniors to join our Summer 2024 Internship Program. The ideal candidate would be available to work full-time for 12 weeks from May 20th - August 9th at any one of our sites.

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Must be able to commit to a full-time schedule (40 hrs/week)
Prior internship experience is a plus.
EDUCATION
Seeking sophomore or junior level candidates (any graduation date between Dec 2024 to Dec 2026)
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing,Business, Environmental Studies or a similar discipline
Desired Cumulative GPA 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Responsibilities for a Communications/External Affairs Intern include one or more of the following:
Engage with Charlotte, NC and Kings Mountain, NC Community Affairs teams in supporting employee volunteer events and non-profit programs
Participate in brainstorming sessions, client meetings and department meetings.
Write articles, blogs, social media posts and edit copy.
Content Creation and Graphic Design: Collaborate with the Comms team to create engaging and informative content for various platforms including social media, event invitations, reports, and more.
Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and help inform decision-making.
Undertake various ad-hoc assignments related to communications, marketing, and public relations as assigned by the Communications team.
Job Responsibilities for a Marketing Intern include one or more of the following:
Applies research techniques, analytical methods, presentation skills, writing skills, and / or technical knowledge to the workplace.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, client meetings and department meetings.
Develop prospecting pipeline for new products
Support Digital Content Creation and Graphic Design: Collaborate with the Comms team to create engaging and informative content for various platforms including social media, event invitations, reports, and more.
Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and help inform decision-making.
