**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer IV, Civil Engineering for immediate employment in the Columbia, SC office. The Position will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases including Facility Planning, Design, Procurement, Construction and Close Out. Work will include assisting with the management and coordination of design projects on Wastewater/Water facilities. Field visits to project sites across South Carolina will be required to provide support as design liaison on ongoing construction projects

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team

Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise

Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others

Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables

Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects

Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package

Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings

Prepares technical specification sections

Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

BA/BS in civil engineering, with an emphasis in wastewater 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

6 years of experience on wastewater projects

Must be a licensed Professional Engineer

U.S. Drivers License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Professional Engineering License (PE), South Carolina preferred

10 years' experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design, assessment, and rehabilitation, including treatment, conveyance and pumping systems

Demonstrated experience in leading complex municipal Water / Wastewater projects, preferably in South Carolina

Interests in Project Management

Experience managing staff and leading multidiscipline project design teams

Experience in coordination with regulatory agencies

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $72,681.00 - $134,459.00.
