Litigation Associate Attorney

As we expand our legal team, we seek a talented litigation associate focusing on commercial litigation matters. 

Our client seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to support a thriving Litigation practice. We are looking for an attorney who is passionate about their clients, coworkers, and their field of work; enjoys a culture of high achievement; and wants to be part of a growing and dynamic law firm!

Litigation Associate Attorney candidates will have the knowledge and experience necessary to support the firm’s commercial, real estate, and employment litigation practices. You will be supporting a Litigation team that represents clients in court cases and other kinds of adversarial legal proceedings such as arbitrations, mediations, and administrative law proceedings. The role requires an attorney who understands what it means to be a well-spoken client advocate and appreciates what it takes to present cases in front of judges, juries, and panels.

Our attorneys are known for displaying sound judgment and decision-making along with outstanding problem-solving skills, and as a general rule are determined, professional, and well-informed.

The preferred Litigation candidate will have excellent writing and analytical skills, experience in commercial, real estate, and employment litigation, and enjoy working as part of a strong team. They must have experience as part of a litigation team and have trial experience with Colorado state and federal courts, as well as arbitration panels. Top candidates will display natural leadership qualities and have experience, drafting briefs, and managing the discovery process. Experience taking/defending depositions is a plus.

Key Results:

• Achieve positive outcomes and reviews from clients.

• Proportionately contribute to overall client satisfaction and firm revenue/profitability goals.

• Attain minimum billing hours (utilization) on a monthly and annual basis.

• Attain Effective Rate goals on a monthly and annual basis.

Required Experience:

• 3 - 7 years practicing law with exposure to a wide array of Litigation matters.

• Specific experience in commercial, real estate, and employment litigation.

• Deposition experience is a plus.

• Sufficient experience to be comfortable planning and accomplishing goals with a certain

degree of creativity and latitude, while performing a variety of tasks under the general

supervision of the Partner or Senior Attorneys.

Knowledge:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited university

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado

• The successful candidate will be familiar with standard legal concepts, practices, and

procedures necessary to support a growing Firm.

• Excellent drafting skills coupled with strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate,

consider, and evaluate potential solutions.

• Team player with a "no task too small" attitude.

• A strong vision for your future coupled with a desire to develop and build your own

practice.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team conducting research, preparing legal documents and performing other duties to ensure clients receive the best and most cost-effective legal solutions.

• An attorney who is determined, professional, well-informed, knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive.

• A motivated individual with a proven ability to develop effective relationships that lead to success for the Firm and specific practice area.

Benefits and Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $110,000-$160,000 DOE % Bonus Plan depending on experience.

We have a dynamic bonus program for Associate level attorneys which permits time for business development without sacrificing bonus eligibility after achieving 1,500 billable hours.
