Responsibilities

Terros Health is hiring a Licensed Clinician/Counselor for our Director of Children's Services position in Phoenix, AZ

Full-Time; Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Primary Location: 27th Avenue Health Center (27th Avenue/ Indian School Rd)

(Includes Travel to our Health Centers Throughout the Phoenix Metro/Suburban Areas)

Arizona Licensed is Required: LCSW, LPC, LISAC, LMSW, LAC, or LASAC in Good Standing

Offering a Highly Competitive Compensation ($80K-$90K Depending on Licensure and Experience)

**Starting Bonus: Associate Licensed = $3K; Independent Licensed = $5K

The Director of Children's Services position is responsible for the clinical operations and programming of our youth aged birth - 17 programs in all integrated care sites that serve children including field-based children's department programs.

This position oversees our staff working with children and adolescents with behavioral health care needs.

Additional duties include, but not limited to:

    This position will oversee fundamental standards and compliance for Outpatient Children's Services, the Cafe programs, and school-based services and ensures clinical quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Evaluates patient care, and promotes an environment of compassionate, high-quality service to enrolled individuals and their families.
  • Creates an environment that promotes an outstanding, patient-focused, healthcare experience that is age appropriate to this specialized population.
  • This position will ensure operations in the children's system of care are efficient effective and operate in line with Terros Health core values of integrity, compassion, and empowerment.
  • This position professionally represents Terros Health with DCS, AHCCCS, RBHA, ACC plans, and other external stakeholders and community partners.
  • This position directly provides supervision to children's department staff and leaders.
  • This position develops community partnerships, serves as liaison of Children's Department services and participates in community events promoting the agency and its services.
  • This position is expected to be onsite at multiple clinics that provide services to Children.
  • Provides administrative supervision to all lines of leadership at all Sites with staff in the Children's Department and School Based program and ensures Clinical Supervision is provided to staff working on licensing with the AZBBHE and Clinical Oversight is provided to BHT and BHPP staff.
  • Monitors internal audits provided by Children's Department leadership and develops practice improvement strategies.
  • Provides operational support that ensures effective and efficient clinical integrity of assigned programs.
  • Collaborates effectively with other Terros Health leaders as appropriate to ensure standardized guidelines in accordance with licensing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in leadership meetings within Terros Health and represents Terros Health in external meetings, forums, or events statewide.
  • Facilitates regular clinical data outcome meetings to streamline collaboration efforts and effective communication between our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for Cafe programs, which includes providing trainings to company staff and external stakeholders as needed on the program model and on evidenced based practices.
  • Perform peer review audits of other leadership findings in the department, report the results to the Audit Committee, and track management's actions to resolve audit findings.
  • Partners with other Directors and Managers to ensure successful collaboration and patient care is seamless as youth transition to 18.
  • Act as primary contact for all community relationships and new partner developments for the Children's Department including School Based programming

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in behavioral health or related field
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in the behavioral health or integrated health care field. Experience in the Children's System of Care is preferred.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Licensed at the associate or independent level (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LASAC, LISAC) in accordance with ARS Chapter 33, Article 1, under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners preferred
  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, members, families, and other community members.
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening and positive interactions.
  • Preferred - Electronic health record, NextGen
  • Must have ability to perform first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary and appropriate.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy.
  • Must pass a TB Test
  • Must be able to pass the Arizona Department of Child Safety Direct Service Central Registry Clearance process
