Senior Accountant / Analyst

What you'll do

* Perform month-end close including journal entry preparation, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and lead P&L review calls with Plant and Sales Managers

* Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including variance analysis

* Recommend and develop process improvements and suggest recommendations to business or financial problems

* Conduct various aspects of Inventory Management and Control

* Perform Cycle Counts of Finished Goods

* Post production of Finished Goods; research and resolve discrepancies

* Track and enter inventory adjustments

* Prepare various local and corporate reports in accordance with the monthly/quarterly/annual schedules

* Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures

* Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

* Review and approve internal and no-charge billings

* Calculate and submit monthly Sales & Use tax filings

* Partner with department heads on the creation of an annual budget

* Assist in financial audit preparation (internal and external)

* Cross-train on functions performed by other members of the Accounting team

* Build effective relationships with all levels of management and employees within the company

* Perform other responsibilities as needs arise

What you need to succeed

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

* A minimum of 7 years experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial data analysis

* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy

* Possess a knack for improving processes

* Passion and curiosity to learn and stretch your talents

* Planning, organizing, and prioritizing abilities

* Spirit of collaboration

* Excellent Excel skills

Great to have's

* CPA / CMA

* Manufacturing background

* Proficient with ERP & FP&A systems (we use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Adaptive)
