Adapt Community Solutions is Hiring a Licensed Clinician Clinical Specialist LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW Near Dallas, TX

This position is primarily responsible for diagnostic interview that yields an initial diagnosis for treatment and referral purposes. The individual uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits. He/She will work collaboratively to address the goal of reducing the use of higher levels of care and criminal justice involvement for persons with behavioral health needs.
The Clinical Specialist (CS) continuously educates the public about ACS services with a goal of how various referral sources can most effectively utilize our services. In addition, the Clinical Specialist (CS) may assist in formal presentations to various audiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

  • Provides therapeutic counseling services in accordance with clinical algorithms.
  • Assists in completing forensic based assessments and diagnostic formulations
  • Coordinates services within the Agency and with other community providers.
  • Responds to crisis or potential crisis situations and ensure the appropriate level of care through the coordination of services or the provision of community support services.
  • Concurrently documents services in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Maintains required productivity levels
  • Maintains confidentiality of information concerning consumers and family members.
  • Provide overall service coordination, referral, linkage, and advocacy to consumers with varying needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills:*

  • Typing speed of >= 50 wpm
  • Knowledge and skill operating in a consultation-liaison or collaborative practice management format.
  • Knowledge of the local / regional behavioral health and safety net system of care.
  • Ability to navigate and troubleshoot various browser-based applications.

Requirements:

  • Required: Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Required: Individual should be provisionally licensed to provide a diagnosis for treatment based on the requirements of the Texas Social Workers, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapists. Active, LPC Associate, LMSW, or LMFT Associate only.
  • Required: Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) clearance (Company will assist in the process.)
  • Preferred: Individual may be independently licensed to provide a diagnosis for treatment based on the requirements of the Texas Social Workers, Professional Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapists. Active, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT only.
  • Preferred: Individual possesses 3-5 years’ experience in conducting initial diagnostic interview.
  • Preferred: bilingual, Spanish speaking
