The Janitor will clean and maintain office, plant and warehouse common areas within our two facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the assigned areas of the buildings.

• Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures, Safe Quality Food (SQF) compliance.

• Wipe down all surfaces , different types of containers.

• Cleans, dusts and vacuum windows, window frames.

• Performs high dusting in the production area and in various areas throughout the plant.

• Vacuums, sweeps and mops all hard surfaces of the production perimeter.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.

• Detail-oriented and thorough.

• Ability to keep areas clean and orderly.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written using basic communication skills.

• Ability to interact with staff while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

Education and Experience:

• 2 or more years experience working in the food industry (preferred).

• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing.

• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
