Description

Technical Project Manager

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 2015 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA 23230

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Technical Project Manager will apply standard project management methodologies for digital-related projects.

How you will make an impact:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor stakeholder management.
  • Support implementation of multiple small or one large system-related project(s).
  • Participate in the design and documentation of complex business processes.
  • Participate in strategic, operational, and tactical planning.
  • Manage day-to-day reporting activities and issues.
  • Responsible for the administration, training, mentoring, and coaching of project methodologies and tools with less experienced associates.
  • Support multiple individuals and/or efforts as they provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and monitor cross-cutting interdependencies between projects within the assigned technical project(s).
  • Review reporting and progress of work with product teams.
  • Manage the digital feature backlog (work items) to plan for development (ensure the work items are ready for teams to develop features).
  • Conduct regular reviews of work items to ensure they’re properly designed, scoped, estimated, and planned for delivery.
  • Manage and evaluate work intake requests so that digital teams can provide a solution and planning.
  • Lead workstream alignment meetings (internal audience) by providing detailed feature documentation that drives the estimation process.
  • Lead meetings with cross-functional stakeholder teams (external audience) to share the estimation and planning process.
  • Provide document estimates and project scope to support reporting.
  • Manage and monitor multiple projects within tight deadlines to ensure product delivery deadlines are met.
  • Coach project methodologies and tools with other associates or stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related. Five (5) years of experience working in the related fields.

Additional Requirements:

Must have five (5) years of experience with all of the following:
  • Managing a digital feature backlog (technical and strategic requirements within SAFe Agile Framework to plan for development).
  • Ensuring work items are documented and ready for teams to develop features.
  • Managing and evaluating technical work intake requests so that digital teams can provide a solution for planning.
  • Analyzing scope refinement, technical review, product strategy alignment.
  • Leading cross-functional program team alignment meetings (internal audience).
  • Providing detailed feature requirements documentation that drives the planning and estimation process, including documentation of product requirements.
  • Leading estimation analysis to create and document technical project estimates.
  • Leading scope refinement to provide estimates of technical projects.
  • Proper SAFe Agile documentation for product requirements, scope, and estimates within multiple documentation systems including Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence, and coaching and presenting project and estimating methodologies and strategies to other associates and/or stakeholders.
