Description:
The Sterile Processing Technician II specializes within the area of surgical equipment processing. The professional responsibilities are divided into five major areas: decontamination, instrumentation assembly, sterilization processing, storage, and distribution. These responsibilities are successfully accomplished through the use of creative application of knowledge, skills, interpersonal and mentoring competencies, and a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management Certification)

Experience Level:

• Intermediate Level
• Acute care setting

Work Environment:

• Onsite at Los Gatos site
• Shift: 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM and Overnight
