CNA FIELD TRAINING SPECIALIST PERSONAL CARE SERVICES

  • Grooming, including oral care
  • Assist with shower
  • Assist the resident with dressing and undressing
  • Apply and remove Ted hose
  • Assist with active and passive range of motion
  • Assist the resident with toileting activities
  • Assist in feeding the resident, if necessary
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure)
  • Other duties as assigned and approved by AccuCare

CNA FIELD TRAINING SPECIALIST HOSPITALITY APPROACH

  • Greet residents, facility staff, and co-workers with a SMILE, always.
  • Find ways to exceed resident expectations every time (be friendly, kind, gracious, patient.)
  • Anticipate the resident needs, “don’t wait, do.”
  • Ability to manage time effectively to ensure timeliness and graceful exit from resident services.
  • Ability to memorize resident’s names and recognize throughout the day.

CNA Field Training Specialist Skills/Qualifications Requirements:

  • Negative TB skin test
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Tb screening (annual)
  • Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills.
  • Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within an operation.
  • Case management & policy development a plus.
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis, including weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull.
  • Understands regulatory compliance
      1. State requirements for MO
      2. Federal regulations including, but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited travel as needed for various staff and client care service needs.
  • Up to 75% or as directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences.

Work Environment:

  • Institutional (hospital, etc.) or Client’s Environment: unknown environments under a wide variety of circumstances; bodily fluids, household and human germs; extreme cold or hot temperatures in or outside; light to heavy traffic; travel required; inclement weather; human body weights that vary based on client health and lifting as prescribed or needed per plan of care (50 lbs.).
  • Office Environment: high-paced office/branch environment; continuous phone use/ringing; talking; various noise levels; interactions with employees and clients; sitting and standing for long periods of time; bending and stooping required; lifting up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. may be required; using a computer for extended periods: typing, staring at a bright monitor or TV screen; using fingers, wrists, and arms; stress on back may occur.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of documented caregiving experience and/or six (6) months of employment with AccuCare Home Health Care.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of documented Alzheimer’s/Dementia experience.
  • Minimum one (1) years of clinical experience in a home health or related health care organization or
  • Geriatric nursing assistant training preferred.
  • CPR Certified
  • CNA Certification
