Accentuate Staffing is Hiring a Purchasing Agent Near Durham, NC

Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to join a manufacturing client located in Durham, NC. In this role, the ideal candidate will have a background in supply planning, sourcing, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of materials.
  • Plan, create and release purchase orders to procure materials to support the production schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent excess inventory, shortages, or expirations.
  • Negotiate pricing, requirements, and terms of new and existing partner relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, gain internal buy-in, and implement improvements to procurement processes.
  • Identify and communicate supply delays to downstream colleagues and planning managers to mitigate potential production disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, or Operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and ERP systems.
  • General knowledge of planning and purchasing processes, including inventory management and supplier negotiations.
