Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) seeking an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children? We are currently seeking an LPN to join our team at About You in Home Care. As an LPN specializing in pediatric care, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care to children in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor and assess the health status of pediatric patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
- Assist with procedures and treatments.
- Educate patients and guardians about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies related to pediatric nursing care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current LPN license in the state of Mississippi.
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
