The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Phoenix, Az is looking to fill a Small Group Personal Trainer position. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience within the fitness industry and have current CPR & First Aid training.

The Small Group Personal Trainer will develop fitness plans through physical assessment by designing exercise routines, explaining fitness equipment, and offering nutritional guidance to members. This person will train, motivate and support members and guests and provide a positive experience by consulting with them on proper techniques and supporting their efforts to achieve personal fitness objectives. this employee will build new client base as well as retain current clients. This position will focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment and respond to and report accidents in a timely fashion.

**Qualifications:**

* High school graduate or GED.

* Three years experience within the fitness industry which includes knowledge of machine weights, free weights and cardio equipment isCertified Instructor (ACE, NASM, ACSM, and NSCA) or equivalent.

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Current CPR and First Aid certification (may be acquired after employment).

* Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.

* Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
