The role of a Project Engineer is to support the Project Manager and be responsible for the oversight of most major aspects of construction work, including organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers, planning for costs, and supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent on various tasks.

Client Details

This construction firm is in its early stages of development and are picking up commercial ground up projects in several locations across the country. This firm specializes in all commercial projects up to $15M in value which includes retail, gyms, recreation centers and various commercial projects.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Project Engineer :

  • Assure all projects are built to drawings and specification
  • Handle the distribution and coordination of all RFIs, Submittals and Change Orders
  • Assure all materials orders are executed
  • Daily project paperwork
  • Maintaining schedule and meet deadlines
  • Maintain workflow and strong relations with subs
  • Maintain and organize field documents ( Drawings, specifications, etc )
  • Coordinate subcontractors
  • Partake and actively participate in company training sessions

Profile

  • Degree in Construction Management or related degree
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer
  • Experienced in commercial or multifamily projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong experience with paper work and software skills
  • Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility
  • Ability to travel to different project when needed (locations may include Nebraska, Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin)

Job Offer

Competitive salary & bonus commensurate with experience - salary typically between $60,000- $85,000 depending on experience
