To perform wide variety of engineering, design, and technical tasks requiring thorough knowledge of manufacturing procedures and practice.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Introduce new processes, programs, product, and tooling systems to the manufacturing operation to improve overall productivity and maintain business opportunities.
• Coordinate with corporate engineers and staff to establish and maintain ongoing technical improvement.
• Manage tooling from initial design including tryouts both external and internal.
• Ensure quality system integrity by departmental involvement in APQP, PPAP, customer and supplier issues.
• Manage the engineering change process, as well as safety and ergonomic process improvements.
• Overall supervision of engineering staff.
• Other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred.
• 5 years experience as an Engineering Manager in automotive required.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
