ABA Psychological Services, P.C. is Hiring a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP/LMSW) Near Bayside, NY

Job Description
We are looking to hire graduate students, limited permit holders, and fully licensed clinicians in the fields of Mental Health Counseling and Social Work. This job involves providing services to children, teens, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship problems, ADHD, ODD, etc.
In addition to providing in person and telehealth individual therapy, we will train and supervise you in providing evidence-based behavior therapy (applied behavior analysis) to children and adults with autism. These services largely take place in the home and in community settings. This unique opportunity to observe and influence behavior in the client's real-life environment is designed to give you enormous insight into family dynamics and afford you the ability to provide the most informed care possible to the individuals and families with whom you will work.
Responsibilities for Mental Health Counseling
Counsel clients individually to assist in overcoming stress, adjusting to life, and making changes.
Provide a safe and empathetic space that encourages clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives to help them develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
Collect information about clients through interviews, observations, and meetings with parents.
Act as a client advocate to coordinate necessary services and help resolve problems in crisis situations.
Maintain confidentiality of client records.
Responsibilities for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Treatment Plans under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Supervisor.
Collect and graphically record data to monitor the client's progress.
Complete behavioral progress notes and maintain the client's program book.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with all individuals associated with the client (e.g., parents, caregivers, the BCBA supervisor, etc.).
Maintain confidentiality of client records.
Diagnostic Privilege for LMHCs
Supervision may be provided by a Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege. MHC-LPs who complete their limited permit requirements at our agency may be able to receive Diagnostic Privileges upon licensure.
Education and Experience
Limited permit holders, licensed clinicians, or graduate students in mental health counseling or social work.
Appropriate state credentials and licensing required for MHC-LPs, LMHCs, LMSWs, and LCSWs.
No field experience required. We will train you!
Fee Schedule
Graduate Students - $23-$26/hour
MHC-LPs and LMSWs - $35-$40/hour
LMHCs and LCSWs - $45-$55/hour
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
