REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: OFFICE MANAGER

SUMMARY:

The title clerk position is responsible for the processing of titles from seller to buyer. This position is responsible for the proficient handling of all paperwork associated with titles to ensure they clear DMV. The Title Clerk exhibits superior customer service at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  1. Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times.
  2. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of processing titles from seller to buyer. 
  3. Always exhibit ‘hands on’ and direct approach with customers.
  4. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of the ordering, processing, filing, copying and mailing of titles.
  5. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of all in-house titles prior to sale day.
  6. Responsible for faxing title list to dealers.
  7. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of correcting all title issues.
  8. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of logging all title numbers into the AS400.
  9. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of handling seller checks in return for completed titles and signature of receipt.
  10. Timeliness of contacting dealers when titles are ready and/or are past due.
  11. Provide the best “Customer Service” possible to all dealers.
  12. Timeliness, accuracy and completion of logging all titles as mailed out or in person into the AS400.
  13. Greet dealers and assist them as needed.
  14. Prompt, professional handling of phone calls.
  15. Ensure visibility and availability from anywhere in the arena.
  16. Familiarize self and assist with all other positions in registration, telemarketing and the block.
  17. Responsible for working front counter and taking payments after sale is over.
  18. Responsible for processing reports after sale is over.
  19. Work well independently as well as a team player.
  20. Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
  21. Performs other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma minimum, some College preferred 
  • Experience: Previous office experience
  • Skills: Should be highly organized, self motivated and self disciplined. Customer service orientated. Computer proficient. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Environment: The environment of the Title Clerk involves working in the office at a desk for extended periods. Those working in this position are subject to repeated hours working at a computer while sitting at a desk.
