ENT Partners is Hiring a Lead Medical Assistant Near Columbus, IN
The Lead Medical Assistant (MA) will partner with the providers of Southern Indiana ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. They will work closely with the other Lead Medical Assistant to make sure the Clinical aspects of the role are covered. Southern Indiana ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role is full-time, 7:30am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Travel is required to all locations periodically for coverage- Columbus, Seymour, Franklin and Greenwood.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Lead Medical Assistant
- The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians with the evaluation, management, charting, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
- The Lead Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow and performing basic skills such as vital signs, chief complaints, reviews medications, and point of care testing.
- The Lead Medical Assistant will maintain upkeep of exam and treatment rooms- restocking supplies, washing, drying and sterilizing instruments.
- The Lead Medical Assistant will maintain their Provider's Athena Inboxes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- The Lead Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Current CPR Certification required
- At least one year of experience as a Co-Lead Medical Assistant required.
- Experience with Athena preferred
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
- Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
This position has supervisory responsibility over clinical staff.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS for a Lead Medical Assistant
Required: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT or a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
