Job Description
360 Talent Avenue is partnering to place a Middle School Science Teacher with a progressive, independent school that emphasizes emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and happiness. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for science and the ability to inspire middle school students through engaging and innovative instruction. This position will teach Middle School Science in a private, progressive, globally minded school.
This is a direct placement role with our client in the Miami, FL area.

As a Science Teacher you will:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's science curriculum program.
- Capitalize on cross-curricular opportunities with a particular emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) curriculum; thoughtfully integrate technology that engages students in scientific thinking
- Prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to middle school students.
- Design and conduct hands-on experiments and interactive activities to enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts.
- Use technology and various teaching methodologies to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and high standards of professional behavior.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in science.
- At least two years of teaching experience in a middle school setting.
- Strong knowledge of middle school science curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Tech savvy in the classroom including Google, Zoom, SeeSaw, etc.
