Motor Claims - (Insurance, Up to $5k + VB)

Responsibilities:

• Provide effective motor claims service to policyholders and agents/brokers, ensuring the smooth management of motor claims.
• Handle various types of claims, including own damage, total loss, third-party property, and third-party injury claims.
• Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, third-party claimants, sister companies, and other relevant parties.
• Train and guide assistants in their support roles.
• Manage and process claims efficiently, professionally, and fairly, adhering to service benchmarks or protocols approved by management.
• Ensure timely and accurate updates to reserves, and promptly report any fatal or serious bodily injury claims to management.
• Attend solicitor’s offices, court hearings, meetings, and seminars as needed.
• Manage third-party claims, collaborating with third-party workshops and claimants.
• Communicate with panel solicitors/third-party solicitors for cases involving Writ of Summons, referring matters to solicitors for appearances if settlements cannot be reached, and seeking advice on liability and quantum.
• Pursue recovery claims and follow up periodically.
• Add value to underwriters by advising on issues identified during claims handling, such as breaches of policy terms, claim experience, NCD matters, etc.
• Review files twice a year and conduct periodic reviews as necessary.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in handling motor insurance claims.
• CGI certification is highly preferred.
• Dynamic, knowledgeable, and adaptable.
• Strong team spirit, conscientious, tactful, and customer-focused.
• Well-versed in insurance principles.
